Ginger Chutney Recipe

Spring is the perfect time for detox to get rid of the heaviness of winter.

One way of detoxing is to ignite our Agni (digestive fire) and to do that we can incorporate the use of ginger chutney into our day.

Eat 1/4 of a teaspoon 15 minutes before each meal to kindle your Agni and to aid with digestion.

 

Ginger Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

Equal amounts of:

  • Ginger
  • Lemon juice

To taste:

  • Rock salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Jaggery (or other raw sugar)

 

Directions: 

Peel and grate the ginger and add it with lemon juice in a bowl. Add jaggery, salt, and pepper to taste and mix well.

As well as eating it before a meal, you can add it to your dish of choice or kitchari for the ultimate detox!
