Swami Karma Karuna will be in Whangārei from 14-15th May 2021 sharing various workshops on Yoga and Resilience and Chakras and Your Health. Private sessions with Swami Karma Karuna are also available and can be booked in advance. All bodies and levels of experience are welcome.

Find out which yoga, breathing and meditation practices suit your personality, body type, health challenges and energy flow. Receive a personal program. Ask questions about your spiritual path. Practices are given according to individual needs to treat imbalances or enhance desired mental, emotional, physical and energetic states for optimal well-being.

Yogic practices are powerful aids in the treatment of many diseases such as chronic fatigue, asthma, diabetes, digestive problems, structural imbalances, blood pressure and heart problems, insomnia, stress-related imbalances as well as important allies for mental health and can support the management of anxiety, depression and other mental and emotional needs. They can also be used to evolve the individual in the path of awakening higher consciousness.

Saturday 15th May Workshops

9:00am-12:00pm YOGA & RESILIENCE

Resilience is our ability to come back to our centre, to rebound from adversity and to respond to a challenge in a creative way. Resilience is vital; without it, we wouldn’t survive the accumulated hardships, transitions, and stressful situations that are present in even the most privileged lives.

Our inner resilience is a natural part of who we are and is a trait that we can strengthen, cultivate and build upon with yogic techniques and attitudes.  In this workshop, we will identify why resilience is important and explore techniques to build vagal tone, which is related to our ability to relax and recharge.  We will also explore how yoga, breathing, Yoga Nidra relaxation and meditation techniques can help us to rewire our brain so we feel supported, positive and balanced in times of change and challenge.

Be inspired by the yogic theory, science and psychology behind building resilience and experience simple and supportive practices that can be integrated into your daily life.

1:00pm-4:00pm YOGA, CHAKRAS & YOUR HEALTH 

This workshop covers both theory and practices for the chakras, including Hatha Yoga, Breathing and Meditation.

Explore the chakras or energy centres as a framework to understand our health, relationships and expressions in life. By purifying, balancing and opening the flow in the chakras, we are able to transition from the instinctive, conditioned and emotional drives into higher awareness and heart centred action. We can also influence our relationships positively, support optimal well-being and gain access to inner resources that help us to meet our goals and live an inspired life.

Swami Karma Karuna

Swami Karma Karuna Saraswati is an engaging, intuitive yoga and meditation teacher, inspirational speaker, writer and Yoga Therapist with 30 years of experience.

A co-founder and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, New Zealand, she also travels throughout the world, leading workshops, training yoga teachers, presenting at international events such as Bhakti Fest, USA, the International Yoga Festival, NZ, Yoga Australia Conference, Melbourne as well as guiding spiritual sadhana retreats around the world and offering therapeutic one to one yoga sessions.

She is passionate about sharing an authentic and down to earth approach, weaving together the ancient practices with a touch of psychology and brain science aimed at motivating people to live their yoga here and now.
