Swami Karma Karuna will be a guest speaker at this year’s VEDA Festival 2023.

This year’s VEDA Conference theme is: Nirvana.
All Eastern spiritual traditions unanimously declare the end goal of all human pursuits as ‘Nirvāna’ – the state of liberation. In fact, Nirvāṇa is a term found in the texts of all major Eastern religions – Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain traditions. ‘Nirvāna’ is the highest spiritual state of being that the festival will help the audience unpack and gain clarity on.

Swami Karma Karuna will be on the opening panel discussing Why Nirvana Matters: A Yogic Perspective and holding a workshop on The Power of Om.

She will be accompanied by other speakers including Professor Paul Morris, Lharampa Geshe Wangchen, Sara Janvekar and Bramachari Ishaan Chaitanya.

Additional Information

About the ‘VEDA Festival’
The name of the knowledge festival is ‘VEDA Festival, as ‘VEDA’ in the Sanskrit language comes from the root word which means ‘‘to know’. With the VEDA Festival, we provide an opportunity for the community to know about Eastern spiritual wisdom which shares profound intrinsic benefits for everyone. Auckland has already witnessed three successful VEDA festivals in 2018, 2019, and 2020 with the following themes
The VEDA or knowledge festival is dedicated to people who like to think about living, its purpose, and many issues related to life. The festival endeavors to bring together experts, thinkers, intellectuals, and practitioners to share deeper truths about life and its mysteries. This festival is being organized on a not-for-profit basis to spread awareness of the benefits of the wisdom of the East which has been the science of life for centuries across many generations and civilizations. The festival aims to provide a platform to share, research, and gain more clarity on popular life concepts like reincarnation. To decode such concepts, we are inviting experts from the field of Yoga, Vedanta, Buddhism, psychology, and philosophy. Leading practitioners of Eastern spirituality will also conduct workshops on practices that offer a holistic roadmap to journey through our karmic lives.
