Overview
Join us at Anahata for a weekend of selfless service and celebration!
“Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realise” were the famous words uttered by the great Yogi Swami Sivananda Saraswati. These helpful tools for life can be seen as steps to help awaken to the higher consciousness within and around us.
This is a weekend for our Sangha community to get together and lend a hand on some projects here at Anahata while reconnecting with one another over the auspicious time of Guru Poornima. Guru Poornima is the time of the full moon representing the highest point of realisation when the inner light shines in absolute darkness. This is the time to re-connect to our spiritual heritage, those who have inspired us on the path of self-understanding, and link with the higher forces that shine a light on the path and guide our evolution.
Over the weekend we invite you to join us for:
– Karma Yoga – supporting the land at Anahata by channeling energy into projects and missions as a community
– Hatha/Restorative Yoga
– Yoga Nidra
– Satsang (spiritual discussion)
– Extended Kirtan celebration (Akhanda Kirtan)
– Use of Sauna
– Opportunity for private sessions (bodywork, healing, 1:1)
– Enjoy the stunning natural environment
– Connect with likeminded people in the community
Service is the action of helping others without expectation. By helping others you can ultimately help yourself. By helping others you can awaken joy within yourself. Seva is the Sanskrit word for selfless service. It means offering oneself wholly to a greater cause. Karma Yoga is the ‘yoga of action’, the action that is done with awareness, the action that liberates instead of binds. It is through selfless activities, unattached work and loving service that one can acquire the precious gem of purity, patience and humility.
