Retreat Overview

Join us at Anahata for a day devoted to Mantra Meditation, music, creativity and percussion workshops along with Kirtan chanting in beautiful Golden Bay.

Prosad,  Swami Karma Karuna, as well as visiting musicians will be leading the event – taking you on a journey through the use of sound.

The Bhakti Celebration is part of the bigger 3 Day Sound Yoga Retreat which we recommend should you wish to fully immerse yourself in the event. If you’re unable to allow the time for the 3 day retreat, we recommend the options below:

Full Day Bhakti Celebration

Half Day Bhakti Celebration
Arrive: 2pm
Event Close: 12am midnight

–   Havan Fire Ceremony
– Lots of Kirtan including a 6 hour Akhanda Kirtan

Arrive: 6pm

Overnight Camping Add-On Option – NZ$ 75
Includes 1 night camping, Sunday morning Hatha Yoga class and Brunch
. Bring your own tent. Pre-erected tent hire available subject to availability on request at an additional fee of $30.

 

There will also be the opportunity to go to a very special screening of the movie Mantra – Sounds into Silence on Sunday 10th February following the Bhakti Celebration at The Sandcastle, Haile Lane, Pohara.

Special Guests

Prosad, the ‘Jimi Hendrix of electric sitar’ is an international, spiritual musician full of good vibrations. He’s a multi-instrumentalist and singer who has travelled the world sharing his unique blend of sitar, guitar, reggae and world music. Inspired by legends like George Harrison, Prosad seeks to create a spiritual vibration in the mainstream music of his generation by blending Indian instruments with the western influences of rock, reggae, folk and blues. Swami Karma Karuna at Anahata

Swami Karma Karuna, founding member and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, NZ, is an engaging, intuitive yoga teacher with more than 25 years of training and experience. She specialises in therapeutic applications of yoga, yoga nidra relaxation and pranic practices and shares in a simple and practical way, inspiring people to access and apply yogic practices in their own lives.
