I am honoured to be hosting Swami Karma Karuna’s beautiful offering – Yoga for Women’s Health at HeartSpace in June. Join us in a beautiful circle of hearts for discussion and practices designed for women to balance and optimise the physical, mental and emotional aspects of a woman’s unique body.
We will cover postures, breath, and relaxation techniques to enhance the joys of the feminine energy and to overcome or redirect the challenging aspects. In this workshop, we look at some yogic management techniques related to health and wellbeing issues for women including areas such as the adrenal glands and their influence on the health, weight, menopause, menstrual irregularities, blocked emotions and more.
Swami Karma Karuna, a founding member and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, NZ, is an engaging, intuitive yoga teacher with more than 25 years of training and experience in a range or areas such as therapeutic applications of yoga, yoga nidra relaxation, prana, chakras, women’s health and applications of yoga into daily life.
Swami Karma Karuna is a certified Yoga Therapist, a Senior Yoga Australia Teacher and international speaker and teacher, including guiding yearly sadhana retreats in India at the home of her spiritual guides. She shares a unique and practical approach, drawing on personal experience of living as a sannyasin with a foot in the world of motherhood and modern western life, thus imparting and inspiring the integration of yogic principles and practice into everyday activities.
