Diwali & Lakshmi Pooja Celebration

Sunday 12 November, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Join us this Diwali to celebrate the Light!

This auspicious time of year, considered to be the Hindu New Year, symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This is a time of homecoming and bonding between families and communities. Associated with Lakshmi, the Goddess of Abundance & Prosperity, we will honor her with a Sacred Fire Ceremony, Candle Lighting Ceremony, Kirtan, and Ecstatic Dance. Diwali is a time for savoring the sweetness of life and strengthening our relationships. We will conclude our program with Chai, sweets, and snacks. This represents the equal distribution of abundance and the joy that comes from the act of sharing. Please bring something to offer to the table!

Event schedule includes:

Lakshmi Havan
Candle Lighting Ceremony
Kirtan & Dance
Chai, Sweets, & Snacks

Exchange: Koha (bring on the day or donate online here)
Please bring a snack or sweet to share.
