SUMMARY:Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga ONLINE Immersion
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nDiscover the power of relaxation and restoration from your own home over this 4-day online immersion focusing on the practices of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. \nYoga Nidra is a profound\, yet simple\, practice that encourages the mind to let go of the external world and turn inwards\, giving the senses a deep rest from the activities of contemporary society. The mind is gradually trained to connect into tranquility effortlessly. Ultimately the practice works on the mind to release impressions from the past and anxieties about the future. It helps us to retrain the nervous system and create new neural pathways that support the relaxation response and build resilience. Yoga Nidra is a powerful tool to enable the parasympathetic nervous system and enhance deep sleep\, thus supporting health and well-being at many levels \nRestorative Yoga has been shown to support the dismantling of chronic tension patterns\, enhanced immune function and effective cellular respiration. SUMMARY:Guru Poornima: Full Moon Community Gathering
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row gap=”35″][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nOverview\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”content-subheader”]\nJoin us at Anahata for a weekend of selfless service and celebration! \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n“Serve\, Love\, Give\, Purify\, Meditate\, Realise” were the famous words uttered by the great Yogi Swami Sivananda Saraswati. These helpful tools for life can be seen as steps to help awaken to the higher consciousness within and around us. \nThis is a weekend for our Sangha community to get together and lend a hand on some projects here at Anahata while reconnecting with one another over the auspicious time of Guru Poornima. Guru Poornima is the time of the full moon representing the highest point of realisation when the inner light shines in absolute darkness. This is the time to re-connect to our spiritual heritage\, those who have inspired us on the path of self-understanding\, and link with the higher forces that shine a light on the path and guide our evolution. \nOver the weekend we invite you to join us for:\n– Karma Yoga – supporting the land at Anahata by channeling energy into projects and missions as a community\n– Hatha/Restorative Yoga\n– Yoga Nidra\n– Satsang (spiritual discussion)\n– Extended Kirtan celebration (Akhanda Kirtan)\n– Use of Sauna\n– Opportunity for private sessions (bodywork\, healing\, 1:1)\n– Enjoy the stunning natural environment\n– Connect with likeminded people in the community \nService is the action of helping others without expectation. By helping others you can ultimately help yourself. By helping others you can awaken joy within yourself. Seva is the Sanskrit word for selfless service. It means offering oneself wholly to a greater cause. Karma Yoga is the ‘yoga of action’\, the action that is done with awareness\, the action that liberates instead of binds. It is through selfless activities\, unattached work and loving service that one can acquire the precious gem of purity\, patience and humility. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row gap=”35″][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nAdditional Information\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Start Time: 3PM Friday 30th June\nFinish Time: 8AM Monday 3rd July \nEXCHANGE: \nFull weekend $108 + donation of your capacity \n1 night overnight stay (Saturday night) $54 + donation of your capacity \nDay visit or evening program only – donation of your capacity \nExchange includes: accommodation\, food\, and weekend program. Auckland has already witnessed three successful VEDA festivals in 2018\, 2019\, and 2020 with the following themes\nThe VEDA or knowledge festival is dedicated to people who like to think about living\, its purpose\, and many issues related to life. The festival endeavors to bring together experts\, thinkers\, intellectuals\, and practitioners to share deeper truths about life and its mysteries. This festival is being organized on a not-for-profit basis to spread awareness of the benefits of the wisdom of the East which has been the science of life for centuries across many generations and civilizations. The festival aims to provide a platform to share\, research\, and gain more clarity on popular life concepts like reincarnation. To decode such concepts\, we are inviting experts from the field of Yoga\, Vedanta\, Buddhism\, psychology\, and philosophy. Leading practitioners of Eastern spirituality will also conduct workshops on practices that offer a holistic roadmap to journey through our karmic lives. \nFestival highlights\n– Featuring distinguished speakers from Australia\, New Zealand\, and India who will share their expertise on the wisdom from the Hindu and Buddhist perspectives\n– Round up panel discussions with Q & A\n– Breakout workshops on life knowledge that could transform our living\n– Covering a broad range of topics with a focus on ‘Nirvāna’\, the choices we need to make to attain this perfect state.\n– Opportunity to mingle with speakers\, researchers\, and practitioners of Eastern spirituality informally \nDate: Saturday 20 May 2023\nTime: 2 pm to 5.00 pm\nVenue: CHINMAYA Wellbeing & Events Centre\, 63 McKenzie Road\, Mangere Bridge\, Auckland\nExchange: $10 \n\nBook ONLINE HERE.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nTeachers\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”10200″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Swami Karma Karuna\, founding member and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat\, NZ\, is an engaging\, intuitive yoga teacher with more than 25 years of training and experience. SUMMARY:Active Hope - Deep Ecology & Yoga Retreat
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row gap=”35″][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”content-subheader” color=”#ff9900″]\nJoin us for an extraordinary\, heart-felt journey into enhanced connection and empowerment through Deep Ecology & Yoga\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”7804″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n\nWhy join this Deep Ecology retreat?\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]We are alive at an extraordinary moment in time. It is a time of growing uncertainty\, yet also time of great possibility when creativity\, courage and collective action can help cultivate change. This is a time when many of us are seeking ways to reconnect to one another and to the living Earth. \nDeep ecology is a holistic approach to facing the current challenges on Earth that brings together thinking\, feeling\, spirituality and action. It involves moving beyond the individualism of Western culture also seeing ourselves as part of the Earth. This leads to a deeper connection with life\, where Ecology is not just seen as something ‘out there’\, but something we are a part of and have a role to play in. \nIn this retreat\, we will draw on the work of Joanna Macy\, John Seed and Arne Naess. We will use theories and interactive practices from The Work That Reconnects to reconnect to out own true nature\, the web of life\, and to our human community. \nThis work supports us to experience first hand that we are larger\, stronger\, deeper\, and more creative than we have been brought up to believe. Opening our hearts and our minds to the love\, the grief we feel for our world\, empowers us to act on behalf of the Earth. \n \n[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/FOVxwBVYf1I”][vc_column_text]\n\nRetreat Overview\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This retreat combines the transformational journeys of Deep Ecology and Yoga under the guidance of experienced facilitators in a nurturing and safe environment. \nIn the Deep Ecology sessions\, you will be guided through the four stages of the spiral of the The Work That Reconnects in a journey of experiential practices\, poetry\, ritual\, song\, movement and silence. We explore and deepen our connections to Self\, each other\, and all Life\, in order to take part in the Healing of our World. \nYoga brings us into balance and harmony\, giving us the ability to enjoy life\, fulfil our potential and find our true identity.
