SUMMARY:Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations & Community Working Bee
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nAn invitation to our local Sangha to join us in celebrating Krishna’s birthday and come together for a community working bee to support Anahata Yoga Retreat before Swami Karma Karuna goes to India\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. Ashtami is a day of divine connection & personal transformation. It is significant day in India as it indicates a perfect balance between the seen and the unseen aspects of reality – the visible material world and the invisible spiritual realm. \nKrishna’s birth on Ashtami signifies his mastery of both the spiritual and material worlds. He is a great teacher and a spiritual inspiration as well as the consummate politician. On one hand\, he is Yogeshwara (the Lord of Yoga – the state which every yogi aspires)\, while on the other\, he is a mischievous thief.  The most authentic way to celebrate Janmashtami is to know that you have to play a dual role – of being a responsible human being on the planet\, and at the same time to realize that you are above all events. \nCome join us for a day of seva\, selfless service to tidy up the grounds of Anahata to prepare for Spring\,  followed by a gentle Hatha Yoga Class\, Yoga Nidra\, Havan & Kirtan and shared potluck dinner. Optional wood-fired sauna available after dinner. \nIf you are unable to join us physically\, there is an option to join us ONLINE for Hatha Yoga Class\, Yoga Nidra & Havan by donation. \n\n\n\n\n\nAll welcome for some or part of the schedule. \n\n\n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nThe Schedule\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Working Bee \n\n09:00am – 12:30pm Working bee projects (gardening\, wood stacking\, cleaning\, wastewater system tasks\, etc.)\n12:30pm – 1:30pm Shared lunch (potluck style or bring your own)\n1:30pm – 3:30pm Working bee projects continue\n\nYoga Buffet \n\n3:30pm – 5:00pm Gentle Hatha Yoga Class & Yoga Nidra (ONLINE option available)\n5:00pm – 7:00pm Havan Fire Ceremony & Kirtan (ONLINE option available)\n7:00pm – 8:30pm Shared Dinner followed by Sauna\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nAdditional Information\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n\n\nEnergy Exchange \n\n\nFull Yoga Buffet $25 \nHavan & Kirtan by Donation \nPlease email us at yoga@anahata-retreat.org.nz to let us know you are coming. This dynamic sadhana\, deeply rooted in the Tantric Tradition\, is designed to purify and harmonize the tattwas or elements within your being. By weaving together the transformative powers of Tattwa Shuddhi and Chakra Sadhana\, you will embark on an enlightening journey of self-discovery and balance.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Explore the Core of Your Being: \nA holistic approach integrates asanas (postures)\, pranayama (breathing techniques)\, chakras (energy centers)\, mantras (sacred vibrations)\, yantras (geometric forms)\, and meditation\, coupled with enriching theoretical insights. Together\, these practices offer a comprehensive pathway to cleanse your inner elements and unlock practical applications for vibrant daily living.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Unveiling Your Essence: \nThe retreat invites you to explore and refine the elements within. The five fundamental tattwas—Earth (Prithvi)\, Water (Apas)\, Fire (Agni)\, Air (Vayu)\, and Ether/Space (Akasha)—are harmonized with the profound energy work of the chakras. ‘Tattwa’ embodies the various principles shaping our existence\, while ‘Shuddhi’ signifies a profound purification\, an exploration into revealing our true Essence.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Journey Through the Chakras: \nIncorporating Chakra Sadhana\, participants will deepen their understanding of the energy centers\, learning how to balance\, activate\, and align them with the elements. This integration cultivates a state of inner stillness\, mental clarity\, and heightened receptivity\, empowering you to tap into your fullest potential.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]A Traditional Ashram Experience: \nHeld within the nurturing ambience of a traditional ashram\, the retreat offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in ashram life\, participating in special rituals\, chanting\, and seva (selfless service). This enriching environment fosters a sense of community and supports your transformational journey.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Diwali – The Festival of Light: \nDiwali\, celebrating the Hindu New Year\, symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. Honoring Lakshmi\, the Goddess of Abundance\, this festival is a time of sharing\, giving\, and celebrating life’s sweetness. Through Havan and Pooja\, we embrace the grace of giving and receiving\, fostering selflessness and dedicating our actions to the greater good. \nOn Diwali eve\, our Ashram glows with thousands of candles\, symbolizing how our inner light shines brighter within a supportive community. Join us in celebrating Diwali\, where we unite to amplify our inner light and spread joy and hope.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tattwa Shuddhi Chakra Sadhana Retreat\, Diwali & Ashram Life \n USD$1780 All inclusive of food\, accommodation\, travel and courses within India [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nOPTION 2: Includes all aspects of Option 1 PLUS Bihar School of Yoga Immersion\n29th September – 31st October 2025 (32 Nights)[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n\nWe will travel together to Munger to join the Hatha Yoga-Karma Yoga Training and delve into ashram life in an authentic ashram. The basis of ashram life is selfless service. The ashram lifestyle reveals to us how to become free from the dictates of the mind and regain control over our life. In today’s day and age this has become most relevant\, as the ashram lifestyle makes us aware of our immense potential and enables us to give that a constructive direction. We learn to direct and expand the mind by adopting the spirit of selfless service\, which in turn blossoms in our life as creativity and excellence in thought\, word\, and deed. \n“Yajnas confer peace\, plenty and prosperity through the medium of divine energy that is invoked by mantra and ritual… It is not asana or pranayama or Dhyana…this is yajna\, where the mind\, intellect and intelligence have no role to play.  In this situation child-like innocence and spontaneity pay higher dividends than intellect.” Swami Satsangi \nImmerse in sacred celebrations at Rikhia Peeth Ashram[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]21 – 25th November 2025 Sat Chandi Mahayajna: \nThis is a grand yajna celebrating the Divine Mother in her many forms. SUMMARY:Breathwork & Sauna Sessions with Breathe Well
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Join Alissa of Breathe Well for one or more in a series of sessions. \n“The body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean.” – B.K.S. Iyengar \n“I felt as though life itself was breathing me in\, all of creation around an interconnected web charged with the force of life through breath”\nThrough years of curiosity\, learning\, and practice\, I discovered the breath as a teacher — a way to meet the self honestly\, to release tension I was holding\, and to awaken to what’s already alive within. Relaxing my fist\, feeling the blood flood my parched finger tips. \nThrough Breathe Well\, I guide others into this same relationship with their breath and body. My offerings range from a variety of Pranayama practices — rooted in Yogic wisdom — to deeper cyclical Breathwork Journeys that draw from Holotropic traditions. Each one is designed to open a space of awareness\, where you can explore your own inner landscape with safety\, honesty\, and reverence. \nWhat to expect\nDuring this class we will lay down the formula for a steady Rhythmic Breath ~ This foundation is the building blocks of Pranayama ~ Adding Breathwav a form of holotropic breathing\, this is a technique that is a mixture of steady rhythmic music to keep the pace of the breath with the incline rate of the heart. Continuous cyclical breathing activates the stress response with increased adrenaline and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Mastering this in-between space to over right pre program responses of the autonomic system. \n“Empty me out and let the flute master play” Rumi \nWhen:\n11:00am – 2.30pm\n9th & 23rd November & 14th December \nWhat to Bring:\nA towel\nWater bottle\nA journal\nA snack for you\nBring a friend for this transformative experience \nCost: \n$40 pp\nPlease prebook.\nText at 0225731225[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nTeacher\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Alissa Matthieson is the Founder of Breathe Well. \nShe has been trained in Hatha Yoga\, Yoga Restorative practices\, Pranayama and Mediation. She has also completed a 200 hour training in Breathwav. Combined with this she has spent many years living in Ashram and mediation environments. Many many hours of personal practice and study assisted  alongside these years of deep inquiry. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:The Radiant Cycle: A 5-Day Journey of Feminine Vitality and Inner Balance
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nJoin Swami Karma Karuna Saraswati for The Radiant Cycle\, a transformative 5-day journey designed to restore feminine vitality and cultivate deep inner balance. It’s time to move in harmony with your natural rhythm.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nEvery stage of a woman’s life—from the blossoming of youth to the wisdom of the later years—is governed by a delicate dance between the Nervous System and the Endocrine System. In our modern world\, the “Fight or Flight” response often disrupts this rhythm\, leading to a “Modern Imbalance” that affects our sleep\, mood\, and deep energy reserves.\nThis 5-day retreat invites women of all generations to return to their center. By merging ancient yogic technology with modern neurobiology\, we learn to “re-wire” our response to stress and cultivate a reservoir of lasting health.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nRetreat Pillars: Nurturing the Feminine Root\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n\nThe Intelligence of the “Master Gland”: Discover how the Hypothalamus and Pituitary Gland act as the bridge between your thoughts and your physical hormones\, regulating everything from your monthly cycles to your daily appetite.\nVagal Tone: The Anchor of Calm: Learn to stimulate the Vagus Nerve to manually shift your body from “Survival Mode” into “Rest and Digest\,” supporting heart health and emotional stability.\nThe Adrenal Sanctuary: Understand the role of the Adrenal glands in managing pressure and how to protect these vital “batteries” from depletion through restorative practice.\nThe Art of Deep Rest: Experience nourishing practices including Yoga Nidra (Psychic Sleep) to access the restorative Alpha and Theta brain wave states\, clearing “brain fog” and restoring the mind regardless of your life stage.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nCultivating Your “Internal Landscape”\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nThroughout the retreat\, we will build a holistic toolkit to support your unique journey:\n\nHormone-Friendly Movement: Gentle sequences specific to a women’s unique body and needs.\nExpressive Energy Release: Using dynamic and sounding practices such as Salute to the Moon\, Aum Chanting\, and Simhasana (Lion’s Breath) to transform pent-up emotions into positive vital energy.\nThe Science of Sleep: Establishing a “Bedtime Transition” that respects your body’s need for darkness and stillness\, including the use of essential oils and calming breathwork.\nThe Witness Awareness: Practicing Antar Mouna (Inner Silence) to move from reacting to life’s stresses to witnessing them with a calm and steady heart.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nCelebrate the wisdom of your body!\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nWhether you are seeking to balance your cycles\, recover from burnout\, or simply deepen your connection to your feminine essence\, this retreat provides the map and the tools to flourish in every season of life \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nPrice:\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n6800 RMB \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nHow To Book?\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nMessage us now at our WhatsApp number +86 18213101217. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\nTeacher\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Swami Karma Karuna Saraswati is an engaging\, intuitive yoga and meditation teacher\, inspirational speaker\, writer and IAYT certified Yoga Therapist with 30 years of experience in the yoga field including significant training in Nepal and India and ongoing training in the ashram with her teachers. \nShe is also certified by Yoga Alliance and is a senior teacher of Yoga Australia/New Zealand.
