Youth Yoga & Wellbeing

Anahata Yoga Health & Education Trust is delighted to announce its milestone collaboration with Creating Balance NZ and Golden Bay High School to bring the benefits of yoga and meditation to youth in our community.

 

 

AYHET is honoured to sponsor Youth Yoga & Wellbeing, a year-long programme initiated by Priyadhara of Creating Balance NZ and enthusiastically endorsed by Golden Bay High School. Our combined efforts aim to provide teenagers with empowering tools to help them build resilience, confidence, and to trust and express their unique and creative potential.

Weekly classes will create a space where they can learn ways to nourish their being; feel relaxed, good and healthy in their body; calm the mind, feel clear and focused; where they can explore techniques that develop emotional understanding and self-regulation — a well-rounded community initiative to support teenagers to thrive in their life.

Sannyasi Priyadhara
About Sanyassi Priyadhara
Sannyasi Priyadhara discovered yoga in her youth and was eventually drawn to the teachings of the Bihar-Satyananda Yoga tradition. She was initiated into Karma Sannyasa and lived as a full-time resident and sannyasa trainee at Bihar School of Yoga, India for a significant period of her life. She had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to imbibe the teachings of the yogic tradition under the guidance of her teacher Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, who inspired her to experience yoga as an integral science of the self, a way of life and culture. Today Priyadhara works with people of all ages and walks of life who seek to connect with themselves, cultivate balance and peace, and express the positive qualities and innate potential of their being.
