Retreat Overview

Here by popular request – Yoga, Yoga and more Yoga. “Ha” (sun) and “tha” (moon) – Hatha Yoga Immersion.
Dive into the modern and historical practice and theory of Hatha Yoga. Suitable for all levels.

The word Hatha comes from the Sanskrit “ha” (sun) and “tha” (moon). The basic principle being to unite the opposite forces – the positive and the negative, the sun and the moon – in order to promote balance in the body and mind.

During this retreat we will explore the modern approach to Hatha Yoga while also being exposed to the historical elements of Hatha Yoga through the theory and guided practice of cleansing techniques (Shatkarmas). These practices restore your physical system and lighten the body and mind, leaving you feeling revitalized with a set of practices to take away and integrate into your daily life.

Also learn practical yogic techniques to stimulate, cleanse and balance the chakras, or energy centres.

Beginners to yoga will get an introduction to yoga postures, breathing practices and relaxation techniques, while the more experienced will be guided in how to deepen their practice. All participants get to experience the wider range of yogic tools available to support you moving forward in your life.
