* The residential retreat option includes 3x daily Meditation sessions with Swami Anandakumar. + Karma Yoga, Havan & Kirtan and daily Hatha Yoga, Morning Chanting & Yoga Nidra led by Swami Karma Karuna and Anahata Resident Teachers

This 9-day silent meditation retreat provides an opportunity to travel to your own centre,
to find the stillness within and discover that your own inner nature is unchanging.

The retreat offers the unique opportunity to explore tools that will help you to truly find
peace, happiness, clarity and perspective on the whole of life.

Ancient Techniques, Modern Mind

Experience the power of ancient yoga techniques combined with well-timed, intuitive guidance
tailored for the modern mind. Swami Anandakumar’s approach helps each participant access
their own intuitive experience, leading to profound insights and transformation.

Well-Balanced Practices

These meditation practices will be balanced with Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Karma Yoga, Kirtanand Havan (fire ceremony) to actively encourage a self-explorative approach to meditation and provide a gentle way to balance the mind and realign the awareness toward your own inner
nature.

Silent Retreat Experience

Embrace the transformative power of silence as you disconnect from the external world and turn
your focus inward. Silence provides a nurturing environment for self-reflection, deepening your
meditation practice, and cultivating inner peace.

With more than 35 years experience Swami Anandakumar helps to bring harmony to meditation
practice, outlining a working ‘road map’ in order to harmonise any conflict with the body-mind and
find your way forward. This allows your meditation practice to come from a place of inspiration
rather than a feeling of obligation, which is uplifting even as you begin to face up to yourself. It’s
a jumping off point for a deeper self-discovery.

The focus of this inspiring retreat is on Awareness in Meditation. And it will help to answer some
essential questions:

What is meditation?
What is its purpose?
How do we practise it properly?
How do we maintain our meditation practice?
What are the benefits that meditation can accrue for us in daily life?

Complimentary pick up: Friday 23 rd February 14:15pm, Golden Bay Visitor Centre, where the Golden Bay Coachlines bus will drop you off if traveling to Takaka from Nelson.
Complimentary drop off: Monday 4th March 9:00am back to Golden Bay Visitor Centre, wherethe Golden Bay Coachlines bus will pick you up from if traveling from Takaka to Nelson.

*The online retreat will only include the 3x daily Meditation sessions + a final session on Sunday.
The in-person retreat option includes: Hatha Yoga, Morning Chanting and Yoga Nidra each day, as well as Karma Yoga, and Havan followed by Kirtan.

3x daily meditation sessions (Sat 24 rd – Sunday 3rd) estimated times are below – exact times will be confirmed closer to time. 9:30-11:00am NZ 11:30-12:30pm NZ 5:00-6:00pm NZ

Please note that as this is primarily a residential retreat with option to participate online, sessions will be addressed accordingly. We expect people to be enrolled prior to the retreat. If joining us online, it is recommended that you set up your space and schedule, so you can have a home retreat. Recordings will be available

Private Sessions: Private yoga and Therapeutic Consultations, Bodywork and Nutritional Guidance are available by appointment.

Private rooms: Limited options are available on request, subject to availability.
