Anahata’s Swami Karma Karuna will be hosting two workshops at Nelson’s Evolve Festival.

This celebration of old customs and new ways to transform the health and wellbeing of individuals, the community and the earth. Feed your mind, soul, heart – and tummy! Evolve Festival

Friday 24 January, 2020 - Sunday 26 January, 2020

Friday 24th January

Kirtan (6:30 – 7:00pm in Main Stage area )

Due to popular request, we will be hosting a short kirtan before the main opening ceremony with members of the Anahata Team and also special guest Prosad who will be teaching on our upcoming Yoga of Sound Retreat -Tools to Transform Your Life with Mantra, Music and Sound & Bhakti Celebration as well as performing at Evolve on Friday night. Opening Ceremony (7:00 – 8:00pm in Main Stage Area)

We will be part of the main opening ceremony with a Ganesha Invocation chanted by the Anahata Team followed by the chanting of the Ganesha Mantra Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha as a group.

Saturday 25th January

Yoga Nidra (12:45 – 1:15pm in the Theatre)

Rest and recharge with this half hour practice equal to 2-3 hours of deep sleep. Supports relaxation response, the immune system and unleashes inner potential. Also excellent practice for healthy digestion.

Digestive Health & Vitality (1:30 – 3:30pm in the Theatre)

Investigate the navel area, called the second brain, related to gut health, vital energy and new science linking the gut to mental and emotional states. Explore body language.

Welcome to come to Yoga Nidra session only or stay for an extended session to learn more how to support your digestion.

 Havan Healing Fire Ceremony  (5:00 – 6:00pm by the lake)

All welcome to join us in a traditional fire ceremony by chanting 108 rounds of the Maha Mrityunjaya Healing Mantra to bring balance & healing to our environment as well as to ourselves.

Sunday 26th January

Your Adrenals, Stress and Self Nourishment (10:30am – 12:30pm in Natural Living )

JUST getting through the day? Tools for healthy organs, optimal endocrine system, balanced weight, mental and emotional clarity and more.

Yoga Nidra (12:45-1:15pm in Natural Living)

Swami Karma Karuna is a founding member and director of Anahata Yoga Retreat, New Zealand. She is an engaging, intuitive yoga and meditation teacher, international speaker and writer with more than 25 years of training and experience in a range or areas. She brings real life experience, years of building knowledge, humility, humour and compassion together to inspire students and share the transformative journey of teaching yoga and growth on the spiritual path.

Swami Karma Karuna is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), a IAYT Yoga Therapist, a Senior Teacher of Yoga Australia and New Zealand as well as a Swami of the Bihar Yoga lineage. Her wide range of teaching includes yoga teacher trainings, Continuing Education courses for various organizations, international events and spiritual sadhana retreats around the world.
