INTERNATIONAL YOGA FELLOWSHIP MOVEMENT

The International Yoga Fellowship Movement (IYFM) was created by Swami Satyananda in 1956 in order to spread the teachings of yoga efficiently and systematically world-wide. It provides support and standardised training programmes and teaching standards to a network of affiliated centres throughout the world.

As a part of IYFM’s vision of fostering a universal sense of unity through yoga, Swami Niranjanananda introduced a Yoga Charter at the World Yoga Convention in 1993. Both individuals and centres can be affiliated with the Charter and can participate in coordinated efforts in many countries to further humanitarian activities.

YOGA PUBLICATIONS TRUST

The Yoga Publications Trust (YPT) is the publishing house of Bihar School of Yoga. Swami Niranjanananda founded YPT in 2000 to provide high quality books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and multimedia on yoga and related disciplines. All publications are either written by or written under the guidance of Swami Satyananda or Swami Niranjanananda. Because of their high standard and depth, many of YPT’s publications are used as textbooks in yoga institutes, colleges, and universities throughout the world. Click here for publications.

YOGA RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Swami Satyananda founded The Yoga Research Foundation (YRF) in 1984. The YRF performs clinical research on the effects of different yoga practices from a scientific perspective. It seeks to demonstrate and document the practical value of yoga as a science for the health and development of humanity. It conducts research with groups and individuals both in India and in affiliated centres throughout the world.
